Vision 2040

We are creating a Local Strategic Planning Statement (we call it Vision 2040) that will outline our future vision for planning across Randwick City. It will set the direction around where we live, work, play and how we move around while also recognising and preserving Randwick City’s values and special characteristics.

Informed by the Greater Sydney Region Plan, the Eastern City District Plan and Randwick City Plan, the Local Strategic Planning Statement will provide the vision and framework to inform a future update of Council’s planning framework, the Randwick Local Environmental Plan 2012 and Development Control Plan 2013.

To help develop the statement we want to find out what you think about the area you live in. What defines its character? How has it changed for the better? How has it changed for the worse? And what time of housing do you want to see in the future and where?

This is a great opportunity to help shape the way our City grows over the next 20 years. Your feedback is important to help us better understand the local character of the area and so we can ensure your views are reflected in the plan.

How can you be involved?

  • Take our online survey about your housing preferences
  • Use our interactive map to let us know things you love or think could be improved in your area
  • Register to attend one of our interactive workshops to discuss your area and future housing options
    • Saturday 30 March 2019, 2-4pm, Randwick Community Centre
    • Wednesday 3 April 2019, 6-8pm, Prince Henry Community Centre Little Bay
    • Thursday 4 April 2019, 6-8pm, Lionel Bowen Library Maroubra
